A Year of Opportunities To Help Us Serve Those In Need!
The needs of the homeless men and impoverished families we serve never end! We are reaching out to meet these needs 365 days a year! The following is a list of ideas for individuals, families, church groups and businesses to partner with Sunshine Ministries at any time of the year:
JANUARY
Donate new or gently worn warm winter coats for men, women and children.
FEBRUARY
Make Valentine treats for our Shelter guests and the men in the Resident Program.
MARCH
Do a special food collection to meet a specific need - cereal, peanut butter and jelly, or canned meat are a few ideas.
APRIL
Fill candy bags for our Kids Club Easter Party.
MAY
Help us collect all of the supplies we need for our Summer Camps.
JUNE
Collect toiletries and cleaning supplies that are always needed in the Shelter.
JULY
Do a “Christmas in July” toy collection. We also use toys throughout the year for monthly birthday parties.
AUGUST
Have a food drive to help fill our Food Pantry shelves that are always bare at the end of the summer.
SEPTEMBER
Donate new or gently worn clothes and shoes for our kids as they head back to school.
OCTOBER
Make party favors for our Family Fall Festival Chili Dinner.
NOVEMBER
Provide some of the most needed items for our families. Diapers are at the top of the list.
DECEMBER
Bake Christmas cookies for the homeless!
