WHAT DOES SUNSHINE MINISTRIES DO?
Sunshine Ministries is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-denominational, Christian social service organization. Our purpose is to serve and glorify God through a Christ-centered outreach of love and compassion that responds to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of disadvantaged men, women and children without regard to their race, color, creed or social standing.
Since 1903, Sunshine Ministries has been meeting the needs of the poor and homeless through food and shelter, long-term recovery and rehabilitation, community outreach and youth services. Learn more about our specific programs in the Outreach section of this website.

HOW IS SUNSHINE MINISTRIES FUNDED?
Sunshine Ministries relies entirely on voluntary contributions. We have never sought nor received assistance from any government organization. The majority of our support comes from individuals; the balance comes from churches, businesses, foundations and other community organizations.

HOW ARE THE FUNDS DONATED TO SUNSHINE MINISTRIES?
Donations may be made online, in person, by phone or by mail. If you have any questions, call 314-231-8209 and ask to speak to someone in the development department.

WHAT TYPES OF DONATIONS DO YOU ACCEPT?
Sunshine Ministries is always in need of non-perishable food, cleaning supplies, toiletries and household goods. Food donations must not be beyond the expiration date.
We also accept in-season clothing that is new or gently used. All used clothing must be in good shape and clean.
We do not accept:

DO YOU PICK UP DONATIONS?
We do not pick up donations. All donations may be dropped off at the Family Center, 1315 Howard Street, St. Louis, MO 63106. We are able to accept donations during business hours, 8:30AM – 4PM, Monday – Friday (except for holidays). Please call in advance to let us know that you will be coming, 314-231-8209.

HOW CAN I FIND OUT ABOUT VOLUNTEERING?
Sunshine Ministries has many short-term and long-term volunteer opportunities for individuals and small groups. To inquire about volunteering, call 314-231-8209.

HOW CAN I RECEIVE ASSISTANCE WITH FOOD, CLOTHING OR SHELTER?
If you are a man in need of our resident shelter services, call 314-231-8209 and ask to speak to Bryan.
