The elementary school years are a critical time to engage our Sunshine Kids in nurturing relationships that will teach them to build strong character traits, help them to discover their God-given talents that can direct them in a path of personal achievement and self-esteem, and encourage them to make wise choices that will allow them to succeed in life and realize their potential.

On the second Saturday of every month during the school year, the Sunshine Youth Center is bustling with kids and fun activities!

After arriving at noon  (just in time to enjoy one of their favorite lunches from camp), the kids spend the rest of the afternoon playing active games in the gym, challenging their friends and big buddies with board and table games, creating fun crafts, having a great time with all of the toys in the classroom, or spending time in the library or computer lab.

And, of course, each Sunshine Saturday includes an encouraging Bible time to remind them how special they are to God and how much He cares for them.

Some of our Sunshine Saturdays include parties to celebrate holidays or other special events. We begin the school year with a Back-To-School with Dr. Seuss party and continue with special events for Halloween, Christmas and Easter. The school year ends with our annual Book Fair.
